Mystery Science Theater 3000

we got Mystery Science Theater 3000's 20th Anniversary pack a couple months ago, and we finally finished up watching the 4 films. and we saved the best for last. it was Werewolf, and OMG, it was freakin' hilarious! if you don't know anything about MST, well YOU are really missing out.

about the show-unfortunately, it ended about 10 years ago but it lives on w/the many DVD packs that have come out over the years. hm, how to explain this great show? well, it's bad b-movies from the 50's-90's. and it takes place in the future. and there's the host(s), mike or joel, and the two robots w/em, who are crow & tom servo. and basically, they make fun of these horrible films as they sit in front of the screen (you can see them in black there). and God, they are some horrible yet freakin' hilarious movies. my fave of all-time is probably Manos: The Hands of Fate. Torgo-you ARE the worst actor to have ever graced the screen! i die everytime you speak! ha ha...

so the new pack. it's the 20th Anniversary edition & has lots of extras not to mention 4 horribly hilarious films they handpicked for this DVD pack. we watched Werewolf last night, and OMG, i haven't laughed that much in a while. MST dvd's are so fun to watch w/other peeps, mike & i usually watch 'em w/atleast one other person. so we watched Werewolf w/our friend TJ yesterday & i couldn't stop laughing during certain parts. and it doesn't help when we rewind 'em or when we re-enact 'em ourselves. when we do that, i usually can't stop laughing my head off. i seriously can't catch my breath sometimes cuz it is out of control!!!:}

some parts yesterday were so funny because the actors were SO bad, the story was SO awful, & the music was SO out of place. (but this is normal with most all MST films!) not to mention, they had Joe Estevez (brother of Martin Sheen, uncle of Emilio) in the beginning ONLY, weird. and yeah, horrible acting from him too! (i think he was the only American in the film too, which is funny if you watch this film.) i hope more MST dvd's come out in the future. we have a good amount of 'em, but the show was on for a while so there's got to be more bad films we have yet to see. if you really want to laugh, rent some of these hilarious films.;}
if you don't, let me tell you, you'll regret it! ^_^
