Dummy...Revisited

(Steven & Fannie in the Food Court)

This is one great film.
A bunch of great actors-Adrien Brody, Milla Jovovich, and Illena Douglas being the main ones. Also a very great & original (not to mention very funny) story-finding your true calling in life, as well as a sweet lil' love story along the way. This is one of those types of films I can watch over & over again. And is especially wonderful to watch when you're not feeling so well (like how I feel today).

This is definitely my favorite Adrien Brody film. Milla is also really hilarious as his best friend, Fannie. Again, probably my fave role Milla has played yet. Love it when she goes a lil' nuts in the parking lot & food court. OH, yeah where that food court is.... One of the BIG highlights in this film for me is that there are several scenes shot in my fave store, Target. One funny part is when the dummy gets dressed up in the store, ha ha. The makers of the film knew which store rules! ^_^ There needs to be more films like this-truly good original stories with an awesome cast.

Here's some good lines I "stole" from IMDB.com...

"D'you know our high school reunion's comin' up? Ten years... D'you know how depressing that is? D'you think I don't wanna slash my f#ck!ng wrists when I think about that? Goddamn it!"-Fannie

"Steven?"
[Enters Steven's room and sees him in his underwear, with his dummy dressed as a child]
"Gross! You look like a child molester!"-Heidi

[Family dinner, with Lorena and daughter as guests]
[to her mother, Fern] "What're you, apologizing to her? She's an unwed mother."-Heidi
"Better an unwed mother than just plain unwed."-Fern

Oh my goodness, I am deathly afraid of ventriloquist dummies. If you promise their aren't any in the film, I will watch it.

:D

Oh and take care, and you too get better. :)
