Happy Friday to you! I hope you will all have a lovely weekend.
Here's another quote from the book, It's Not Easy Being Green. I chose this particular quote because of what has been going on in our world for a while, and it seemed appropriate. I feel, like Mr. Henson does, that we need to focus on the good, even though there's lots of terrible stuff happening. If your mind was filled with all this negative stuff most the time, I think everyone would go mad...MAD I say! Now here's his quote...
"At some point in my life I decided, rightly or wrongly, that there are many situations in this life that I can't do much about: acts of terrorism, feelings of nationalistic prejudice, cold war, etc. So what I should do is concentrate on the situations that my energy can affect."-Jim Henson
1 Curious people had this to say...:
Last night I had to say the Serenity Prayer 10 times - and even then I felt like being snarky. BTW - I say it to calm myself down - I'm working on the anger issue.
I mention this because the quote you posted kind of reminds me of the prayer - "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference." Last night I'm not sure if I was lacking in wisdom or serenity.
