More pics from Shades of Green (art show)

Hi friends & followers. If I'm slow to put stuff up, just know it's because I've been putting my art pics on two FaceBook things...one is my own personal page (Eve Noir)...which I wanted to stop doing because I have an evenoirART fan page also (please join if you 1-want to and 2-have a FB profile...cuz I tend to put stuff up there much quicker, as I said).

I STILL LOVE my Blog of course but hmm....I'm torn what to do...keep this as an art (mainly) blog or go back to an "everything-kinda-blog" like before. Decisions, decisions! Oh well, I'll figure it out eventually.

And thanks for following & reading my blog, means a lot to me!

New Stuff up in my Etsy Shop

Lipstick Girl

Bondage Girls

I put up DOLLS (yes, because to creep you out Cindy, ha ha) in my ETSY shop this morning. A first. Dolls that is. I priced them a bit higher but for a specific reason. And that reason is because IF people are interested in my art at the DAMNED show, then I can give 'em my business card and they can see my mixed media, collages, and creepy dolls. Of course I don't STRICTLY do CREEPY/SPOOKY art...but I wanted to atleast have a few creepy things (or as DAMNED called the work they're interested in-'beautifully disturbing'-I like that description) since DAMNED is a show for the creepy-ier type of people. Well, you know what I mean.

So by having these dolls up (and at a much higher price) they probably won't sell. And that's what I'm hoping for. Weird, I know. But like I said, I want to have a few things Eve Noir-Damned Show-ish in my ETSY shop so those darker folks might say "Hey, she does all kinds, not just dark/creepy." And maybe, just MAYBE, I'll actually make a sale on ETSY. That would be nice. ;}

OK, now I'm going to post the pics because I got to work at 4 pm which doesn't give me a whole lot of time. So adios for now and check out my ETSY shop since it's been updated a tad if you'd like. Hope you have a good Wednesday!~

I'm going to be adding something...

creepy pic mike took of bibi with his phone

...to my ETSY store soon. Can you guess what it may be? Well, it's something I worked on recently. It's....LIPSTICK GIRL. Since I'm going to be in the DAMNED show in a few weeks I figured I'd try adding a few more things. You know, just in case some people like my stuff and I can direct them to my shop.

AND I know some of you don't like the dolls...or are just a bit scared of 'em but I enjoy making...breaking...altering them. :) I bought some porcelain ones today (thinking I'd make 'em similar to Lipstick) but now I'm unsure. I was hoping to find plastic ones (like LG) but no luck. I think I like those better (have made 2 others in the past) because their eyes open and close and I have this feeling porcelain is going to be a bit odd to work with. Plastic is easy and dries super fast and very cool...sounds weird. But yeah, it dries cool!

She is going to be a bit higher in price though. I know it sounds bad but when I really get attached to any of my art pieces, I tend to have the price a bit higher. Yes, it's bad...but I can't help it. She will be somewhere between forty to fifty dollars. I mean I think she's beautiful and maybe I can't part with her yet...IDK. So I ask myself, why am I even going to try selling her? Oh well, we shall see. Take care~

Lipstick Girl

Hi friends. This weekend I worked on the above doll. She has those typical "baby doll" eyes where they close when you lay her down...move her, you know what I mean. So after I drenched her with paint (literally from head to toe) her eyes closed...so I opened 'em up. And miraculously they stayed because she has some strong will. Ha ha. I really thought they would shut because the paint was very heavy/thick...especially her face. So the above pic is pre-dried doll. Sounds weird, right?

Full shot of her...still drying.

And YAY cuz this is her after drying. As you can tell, I liked the colors I used for SLUDGE DUCK (as they are some of my faves-black, blue, and white)...but with a hint of HOT PINK. So I named her LIPSTICK GIRL. I used no gloss sealer after she dried. And I still think she looks good. So I guess I don't need SHINY-ness on everything afterall.

And her back...

And I'm temporarily hanging her from some SHINY rope in my art room. She's near my art desk.

I really enjoyed making her. I like the idea of just dripping paint on to something now. It's easy, fun, and a learning experience with colors for me. ;)

And please make sure to check out my GIVEAWAY in the post below. Definitely need some more ideas and suggestions=your chances to win win win! Thank you to those participating thus far. Enjoy your Sunday.~
