Wordful Wednesday

I took this picture of musician Amanda Palmer when she played Detroit back in December. I ran up near the stage and I was happy with my shot because you can see her VERY lovely (& long) dress. I didn't realize she was showing her undies (or is that the top of her leggings) until I developed the pictures. ;} Also, one of the best LIVE performances I've ever seen. ^_^ Hear some of her music HERE.

Wordful Wednesday

Happy Wednesday my friends! Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Detroit and now today is very rainy & gloomy, go figure!

Anyways, this week's Wordful Wednesday picture is of my doggie Bibi. She is laying on my legs while I watch some TV before getting ready for the day. She loves to lay on my legs, inbetween 'em, or next to 'em. I guessing it's probably because she likes to stay warm...but I'd like to think it's 'cause she just wants to be as close as possible to her Mommy. ^_^

Wordful Wednesday

My pics for today are from over a year ago when I went to the Detroit Zoo with my boyfriend. We took a bunch of pictures of the polar bears and seals in a place where you go underground to see them in the water (from left to right as well as above, which this picture shows). These are some of my favorite shots from that day. O.K. I must admit, Mike probably took all of these, and not me. Only because they move REALLY fast and it's hard to get good shots of them sometimes.

Wordful Wednesday

this is a pic i took when i saw one of my very favorite electronica/industrial bands Imperative Reaction back in October 2008. i took a lot of pics that night and most came out crappy because of two reasons...1) my camera is crappy & old to begin with...and 2) there was so much smoke in that tiny little club (guess it's called Smalls for a reason!). you can see the smoke in the this pic but i think it looks really cool & it doesn't ruin the shot. i didn't tamper with this pic in any way...i don't even think i cropped it. so, i'd like to think i caught him, Ted the very lovely lead singer, in a moment. ;}

Wordful Wednesday

just like my other post, this is a new "thing" for me. Diane at Good Mourning, Glory! does it so i said "why not?" this is what to do: i take a pic & basically just talk about what it means to me & why i love this pic so much. to that extent i believe. and her friend also participates, Angie @ 7 Clown Circus. did her friend create it? hm, i'm not sure. but hit on her site & play along too!

o.k. my pic. it don't look like much, but TRUST ME i was very excited & nervous about this moment. jimmy, from the band mindless self indulgence, gives out kisses for $1 after their live shows...well atleast he did before he got married. so i waited & waited til he moved on down to me, and then VOILA, he kissed me. yes, on the lips but no tongue, thank God. he did this to a lot of peeps, including dudes, so i'm glad we didn't swap spit cuz i'm sure his mouth is dirty. ha ha. :) so my boyfriend snapped this pic right after our smooch. can you tell he's out of breath? i am a naughty girl i know. (oh & i like how the $1 bill is waving in the air next to me...that's not mine...i gave him my $1 before the KISS...and it was the best $1 i ever spent...yes, bad eve again!)
