Hi friends. I've had a great couple of days because of my birthday & all but certain things have been on my mind lately. I've been feeling a lil' out of my element. And I'm trying to think positive but I just can't help thinking about the negative too. (So the story goes-our roomie, who has lived with us since we moved into our house over 2 years ago, is moving out very soon. And we need to find a new roomie asap. So this issue has made things a bit stressful for both Mike and I. It was a pretty unexpected thing, hence the stress.) So I was looking through this book tonight and I found this wonderful quote. I thought "this is what I need to keep telling myself," after I read it...mainly the last paragraph. It's a quote from the book It's Not Easy Being Green, which I've used several times now. Dr. Teeth speaks the truth! ^_^

Here's another quote from the book, It's Not Easy Being Green. I chose this particular quote because of what has been going on in our world for a while, and it seemed appropriate. I feel, like Mr. Henson does, that we need to focus on the good, even though there's lots of terrible stuff happening. If your mind was filled with all this negative stuff most the time, I think everyone would go mad...MAD I say! Now here's his quote...

i got this great book of quotes IT'S NOT EASY BEING GREEN and other things to consider. it's a really nice book of quotes Jim Henson said over his lifetime as well as people he worked with and his family & friends too. oh, & characters from the shows & films as well! i got a great deal on it also, 3.99, so i just couldn't resist. i loved the Muppets & Fraggle Rock growing up, and all his films, especially The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. he seemed like such a sweet and interesting man. and i wanted to try to put one of the quotes from this cool little book each week. here's the first one in the book. hope it sets the tone for the ones to come...^_^
