Cow Bones & a Plushie

Cow bones from Noir Leather.
Yes the real thing.
How, what, why?...
I don't know but don't really care...
cuz now they are mine, muhahahaha. ;)

BIG cute plushie from LIFT.
And his body comes apart. Fun!

Today the city of Royal Oak was having a BIG sidewalk sale. One store, Noir Leather, had lots of cool stuff including mannequin parts, old vintage knick knacks, and...bones. Yes, real bones. As in cow bones. I mean I HAD to get them. How often do you see REAL bones for sale? ;) I will keep one for my "collection" (not that I had any bones before today) and the other I will alter in some artsy way. Oh yes, and a great deal on 'em too! {5 dollars for both, wow!}

The other score I got today was on this cool PLUSHIE, from my favorite store in Royal Oak, LIFT. He is some sorta creature...the tag doesn't say what he is so I'm gonna guess he's maybe a caterpillar-whale-squishy thing. He IS super cute & cuddly...AND he comes apart too! How funny is that? I couldn't leave Royal Oak without him.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!~

Day after Halloween at Target (50% Off!!!)

  • Hi there. So as many of you know I LOVED LOVED LOVED what Target had this year for Halloween...that primarily being the Skelanimals stuff. Well, I wasn't sure if I'd get up early that day to go but something was calling me to go so I went & it was like Xmas Day-so much fun & excitement. I also decided while there that next year I'm going to try putting together a Halloween Party (my first)...so many of the things I got are in preparation for the maybe-party.

  • So as you can see from the above pic, I saved almost 55 dollars, and spent basically the same amount. Not bad I think...considering what I got. I want to go back for 75% off...cuz there were a few things over 10 dollars that I just couldn't buy because I would've spent wayyyyy too much. So I guess I'll see if they have anything cool left at that time. Enjoy my lots-of-savings pics!~

4 bags...

The party supplies...

Lots of candy...and the mug with Oliver the Owl, my fave of the Skelanimals. Awww for Owls!

Random stuff including: magnets, photo holders, plushie, toys, stickers, slippers, and more!

More random stuff including: 2 pack of hand towels, straws, cake pan, and one of my best finds-the Skelanimal throw blanket. Yay!!!

Close up of the Skeleton cake pan.

And me with my blanket and slippers on. Was fun and I hope Target has cool stuff yet again nexd Halloween. And I think they will cuz you all know that Target rules! Take care and enjoy your day.

Great find at Target and random pics too

Remember how I said I wanted this a lil' while back from Target? Well, I have no idea why but I thought it was the comforter...but really it's decorative tapestry. And since it's part of the "College 2009" stuff it got marked down. Not a ton (it really wasn't that pricey to begin with, imo). And somehow I just kept seeing the comforter...thinking all along it was the design above & below. I would've liked the comforter {deep purple on one side and black on the other} but I my Robot Hello Kitty one is still holding up. AND this lovely tapestry can go over ANY comforter...or even a couch. Wooo hooo! So that's even better.

I'm not going to be using it right away though. The weather has been so on/off here in Michigan that Mike and I go from using a comforter to sheets to light blankets so often that yes, call me lazy, I gave up on making the bed every day. That is until this beauty goes on. Which could be soon if it gets to FALL already! I just love this tapestry...all my fave colors: black, purple, and white. And the chandelier is the sweetest touch of all. I HEART it so. ;)

Regular price was 19.99. On clearance it was 13.98. Six dollars off is pretty good. Oh and I forgot to say why I just HAD to have it that day no matter what-it was the last one left. I mean you gotta understand that I just HAD to. ;)
And some random pics below. I'll get to random cellphone pics when we get our new computer. Yes, I've been saying that forever that I'm even annoyed by seeing it! I just don't want to upload alllll my cell pics (which there's a good amount) and then not have enough time to show them all. He says this weekend now...so we'll see. If he says another week, then I'll consider putting up my random pics, as I know some of you really enjoy them.
Ok, enjoy the two pics below.

Oh and yup, there it is, by my dresser. All the blankets, sheets, and comforter that have been on the ground because this weather is nuts! Take care~

New Dunnys, Sales, and WTH!?! w/Facebook

Today Facebook totally freaked out on me. I never saw it do this before (what's pictured above). I think I might have hit something on accident but still...odd. Everything went sideways on my screensaver. A few minutes later it was o.k.

Now on to some Dunny & sales stuff...

My new Dunnys. I wanted ALL of them, especially Gloomy Bear (he's the first one on the left, pink with blood on him). Next to him is ToFu Dunny by DevilRobots, then Possessed Dunny by Luke Chueh, and (whats-his-name) Dunny by Kronk.

And their backs are pictured below...

Love that ToFu Dunny has a sad face too!
Now on to some great sales I got over the weekend.

A TokiDoki backpack from Target. Backpacks (and most school stuff) is half off right now.
So...

I got it for 9.98. A great deal. And there was only two left so I got lucky. I could've waited til they were cheaper but I highly doubt they'd still be there.
Now on to Hot Topic and their half off their half off sale.

This is a Skelanimals shirt. Colors red, purple, and white on a black shirt.
OK, my bad...I accidentally deleted the front of the shirt :( so here's the back. Love the safety pins all down the back. Didn't even know it had those until I got home. Nice touch! (Again, sorry I can't show the front...I don't know how I end up deleting 'em just by backspacing, ugh!)
And it was a GREAT DEAL...

Half off it was 10.98...but with the extra 50% off...it brought it down to $5.50 + tax. That's a savings of almost 17 bucks. Great deal, I thought!
Enjoy your Monday everyone!~

Arts & Crafts: BIG sales and Deals-woo hoo!

Hi friends. It's time for an AWESOME sales/deals post. Ever since last Sunday, JoAnn's and Michaels Craft stores have had quite amazing sales going on. I'm talking REALLY REALLY great deals on many things...most of the sales being between 25-60% off certain supplies and crafts. And heck yes, I found that 60% off & it was something(s) I needed/used so I had to give in...several times.

So here's pics of one day of shopping at JOANN's (I might do a Michaels post, not sure yet). At the very bottom, you'll see how much I saved and I thought I did quite a good job if I don't say so myself. ;} OK, here's my stuff...oh, and yes, all this stuff will be put to good use so it wasn't just random finds.

Everything you will see below was on SALE, yay!!! OK, here ya go...

In this pic I got scrapbook paper (6 sheets for .96 cents), pack of hard canvas (3 pieces for 4.99) 2 sets of cardstock paper-for my collages (2.49 a pack), and 8.5 x 11 frames (2.39 each)-the frames were the 60% items I found. BIG SCORE!!! Hm...IDK what else in the store was 60% off & I searched it pretty good. Hmm...but it must not have been something I used (like fabric, stuff like that, cuz I didn't check out those areas much).

Stickers and epoxy stickers were all 40% off. And those epoxy stick ons/stickers can be pricey so I stocked up. I will use those on whatever they'll stick to-boxes, frames, collages, and probably some canvas too.

Clear stamps, acrylic block, an "A"-hm, you know what I'm gonna use that for right? Also to the right, necklaces with clasps you can put on (25% off) as well as a needlenose pliers (I think they're called that)...I need those for the necklaces. Because I've been making necklaces lately (for myself so far)...think the NNP were 25-30% off. Sweet!

OK, I lied this was the ONLY thing regular price (well, actually those stamps & acrylic block weren't on sale but for only $1 each, that's a score in itself!). It's Square Mirror pieces. 25 pieces for only 1.99, pretty good deal. And it keeps me away from the hammer when I break mirrors for some of my pieces. :)

So here's the damage, I mean SCORE! ;} I spent 47 bucks...but I SAVED almost 30.00 dollars. Pretty good, ya think? It helps when almost everyTHING is marked down by atleast 25%. I'm not going back to JOANN's today (today is the last day of both sales)...but I MAY go to Michaels...and that's only if I can find my two 50% off one item coupons from the Sunday paper. But maybe those went 'missing' for a good reason.
Take care & chat with you later.~

FYI: A great sale for us artists & crafters

Hi everyone. About an hour ago, I went to get our dinner and I had 15 minutes to spare...and the closest thing around to the restaurant was a JOANN's (fabric and craft) store. So of course I had to take a stop in...since I've been gathering ideas and creating things for my soon-to-be Etsy Shop. But little did I know that quite a BIG & great sale is currently going on (from the 14th through the 20th). It's called the FIREFLY FRENZY SALE...and SO much is on sale. Please click HERE to see some of the stuff on sale on their website and in the store too.

My local JoAnn's is MASSIVE...but I think most are, right? So I kinda just ran around like a chicken with its head cut off after I kept seeing ALL these signs for certain things I wanted on sale. So the first thing I saw that I was like "MUST GET" was the scrapbook single sheets...they were 6 for .96 cents! Quite a wonderful deal considering they normally are .59 cents each (there's ones for .99 and higher but this sale applies only to the .59 cents ones, which is fine because there are still nice ones there).

Another thing I looked at (for my upcoming projects) were pendants. They were 25-30% off...certain ones though. Manor House pendants were included in this sale, as well as Noir ones. I got several Manor House ones because again, What a DEAL! I wanted to look around more but I had to get our food before it got cold so I went up to the front....and waited...and waited...and waited....in line. Why does my JoAnn's always have just one cashier...and on a Sunday!?? WTH!?? I guess it helps that when the refunds/customer service girl isn't busy, she can help ring up peeps too. But God, I go in there knowing I will have to wait atleast 10 minutes in line-and that sucks!

So for all of you artists & crafters know that there IS an awesome sale going on at JOANN's...and check out their website to see more...or just stop on in one day this week. I haven't seen a sale like this at a craft store in forever so I will definitely be making a couple more stops there. (Oh, and I got some scrapbook sheets for only .10 cents each-on the clearance table. I thought someone just left 'em there but nope, just ones peeps didn't like-one had cute lil' drawn terrier doggies and the other was a very pretty flower image. I'll have to check out that table again when I stop back in.) If any of you ladies go, let me know what you got on sale, if you'd like....you can post it on this blog entry. ^_^

Take care & enjoy the rest of your Sunday!~

Yay for a new blog & follower and also for an awesome deal!

I just found out about a cool blog...
that has inspired me to write more about my...
clearance/bargains/great deals.

I won't be writing about 'em every day...
though I do get some great deals on a daily basis (some times).
Sometimes I think I'm the only person in Blogger-land...
with this thing for clearance...
but nooooo,
someone is out there...very much like me, yay!

So glad to have found her blog...
Very cool!

Halloween pumpkin nail polish (glow-in-the-dark)...
for only .22 cents each.
What an awesome deal!!!
I saved 4.58, woo hoooo!

Sorry that it's blurry...I saved 8.30, yay!
And that's non-coupon savings my friends!

I just found out about a very interesting & cool blog right up my alley. It's called The Queen of Clearance. And it's exactly what it sounds like, a blog of a girl who takes much pride in her sales/clearance finds. I just knew there was someone out there similar to me & my joy of getting great deals! Might've taken a while to find another hardcore clearance-lover but yay for finally finding someone with BIG dedication to the craft of shopping-for-cheap. :)

I just started following her blog but again, it's really good & I love to see what other people get on clearance/sale. So I welcome her to following my blog too...and sorry QOC, I don't know what's up with Blogger today but it is showing I have one more follower (39 instead of 38) but your pic isn't coming up....maybe it's an early Sunday morning Blogger problem! Just wanted to let you know cuz I have never seen that happen before-totally bizarre!

Anyways, you all know I LOVE a good deal and I decided to go to Meijer to get my grocery shopping out of the way (and it rules there when it's very early-no one around & no lines, it's great!). When I was there as always I look in the clearance sections that are usually at the end caps of certain lanes. This one had the makeup/nail polish/girly stuff. So I found 2 Halloween pumpkin (glow in the dark) nail polishes for .22 cents each-can you say score???!!! And I did my grocery shopping too and usually I save a bit more but today I saved $8.30 in non-coupon savings. Pretty good considering I only spent about 48 bucks.

So if you like seeing my clearance/sales stuff, you should definitely check out The Queen of Clearance's blog, which can be found HERE. She has gotten some great deals in the past & continues to look for & get awesome ones. Yay, she's very much like me and my little thing I have for clearance/sales.

So don't call me a shopaholic
(ahem, Diane), just call me a clearance-aholic...if you want to set the record straight! Ha ha....;}
Enjoy your Sunday everyone!!!~

Memorial Day Sales, Oh My!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.
And with that comes...
SALES!!!
And you know me, I LOVE a good sale or 2.
You might say "Eve oh Eve, you do love to spend $$$,
but...
this picture is proof to how cheap I really am.
I was at Target & just wanted a pic of me...
wearing the 'America/Uncle Sam' hat.

I didn't want to pay the $1 for it.
Yeah, I'm cheaper than you think.
Wait, that didn't sound right...;}
Anyways...here's my sales adventures.

This is a pic of MY Hot Topic, wooo hoo cuz...
Hot Topic had their half off the half off sale this weekend...
& I always hit it up then
.
Some things I couldn't pass up include:

An Alice shirt...and you know...
there's no question about whether or not to get it!

Purrrrple, is one of my colors.
And so is black...
And I love the skeleton image...
so Voila, I got this shirt.
It's a bit low cut for me...
so I'll be tank topping it under.

One of the best deals EVER.
Skelly animals totes for 4.99!!!
Isn't that sweet?
And I LOVE the bat skelly animal.
I know it's Skeleanimal, right?...
just like callin' em that.

The only thing at Hot Topic that I paid full price for.
A very creepy & cool Day of the Dead patch.
Now where to put it...
probably on a tote bag.

And BORDERS bookstore...
was extremely awesome for the holiday weekend too.
They had great sales on their clearance books...
aka: bargain books.

And they were buy one get one free...
and they were ALREADY very inexpensive.
I paid a total of $10.60 for all the books/CD's below.

I mean look at the cover...
it was a must-have.
Yeah yeah yeah,
don't judge a book by its cover but...
c'mon, Frankenstein & Cake...
how can you go wrong?!?
^_^

I got French Milk because it's a girl & her mother's 6 week travels to France. It looks really interesting because it's documented ALL in photos the girl took (she wrote/documented the experience)...and cool illustrations of things they did. Why is it called French Milk? The girl, Lucy, fell in love with France's milk while she visited there. I guess it's pretty yummy.

Kittenwar Postcards are cute...and are mainly for my cat-loving-friends (and YOU know who you are). Be expecting some from me in the mail or in person soon.

Carrie (in the right corner) is of course the Stephen King book...
but on CD's (7 of 'em, unabridged).
Yikes, I can't imagine how many hours that is but I'm sure it'll be awesome.
And to top it off it's read by Sissy Spacek.
How cool is that?
I read Carrie but a long time ago...
and I remember it being quite good.
So when I saw this book on CD's I thought hmmm....

Let me break it down cuz I think it's pretty sweet.
It normal retail price was 39.99...
& it was on sale for 5.99...
but since they were BOGO free...
it was only 3.00 + tax.
Major SCORE!!!
AKA: Score of the week...or maybe the whole month!
I hope it don't scare me too much though.
I can be a scaredy cat sometimes.

SOOO, all in all a great sales weekend.
And it isn't over...but I'm not going back out...
Well, a BIG maybe on Michaels (craft store) on Monday.

Some people often say...
I have some type of 'skill' with my shopping...
or that I'm a shopaholic (cough cough, Diane)...;}
But I don't see it either way.
I don't scope out stores for days & days....
waiting to see what'll get marked down.
Or planning/calculating things...that'd be a lot of work!
And I don't spend my entire day in the mall...
or at TARGET (my fave store as you know).
And ugh, you already know how I feel about shopping for...
dressy clothes/shirts other than t-shirts/pants/shoes shopping and grocery shopping,

but if not, I'll refresh your memory...
I hate it!

I mean a girl's got to eat, sleep, & blog...
at some time!

^_^

I just keep my eye out for certain sales...
from time to time...
especially the clearance sales.
Those are the BEST.
And I get some good selection sometimes...
and sometimes I don't.
Typically my local Hot Topic is kinda sucky...
for their 1/2 off sales, but I really lucked out this time around.
And BORDERS was kinda luck too.
I hadn't been there in a while...
and low & behold I found this great sale,
that actually had some good stuff.

So this was my BIG clearance splurge of the month.
And everything will be put to good use,
and that's all that matters, right?!!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.
I'm off to Meijer in a sec for...
BIG SALES!
Just kidding...
I gotta grocery shop.
It shouldn't be busy cuz it's late.

I prefer going later...

not a lot of long lines & usually not a million peeps down the aisles.
I'm quite the power shopper at the grocery store cuz I just wanna get the heck out of there asap. Unless I get sidetracked by something curious.
And yes you are right Diane, Meijer does have a BIG ol' selection of wines/beer/etc....
but Meijer is SO huge so no wonder, right??!

OK, adios for now amigos!~

Yesterday at the Mall

Yesterday, I visited Oakland Mall. I went to get my hair cut & dyed and since my sister doesn't live too far from there I went out there just because I was near by (and I needed to go to Victoria's Secret, will post about that later). So the pic above is me trying on a Top Hat at my younger sister's work. No my chin doesn't have that below it, it's the mirror (looking-glass), silly! Don't I look cool!?? ^_^

Oh MY! I really freaked out when I saw this shirt at Hot Topic because 1-I wanted it for a LONG time (but didn't want to pay full price) & 2-It was hard to find it in my size. So when I saw my size & in the clearance section I just had to pick it up. (Felt like a freakin' miracle!) It's probably my favorite Hello Kitty shirt ever...for obvious reasons (skullheads, skullheads, and skullheads!).

So another Yay! THIS awesome shirt was also in with the clearance & in my size. It's a SkeleAnimal shirt with a cute bat on it. And since I wanted to get 2 stamps on my HT frequent buyer card, I decided to buy it.

So when I got up to the register, the girl asked if I wanted to donate $1 to some fund & I'd get a free lil' tote that says Music=Life. I said "What's my total?" And she told me and then said I'll give you 3 stamps on your card if you do it so then said "Sure!" And for some reason, she was in a really good mood & noticed my card only needed only one more stamp before I got my 15% off my next purchase, so she said "I'll give you 4 stamps." So I'm thinking "Sweet!" Usually people are not that nice...and surprisingly Hot Topic had some cool things that day, and on clearance, so it really made my day.

My last purchase came from Borders. Again, surprise surprise that a Hot Topic carried Gothic Beauty magazine (I was gonna buy it there but didn't want to spend too much)...the ones near me suck & have stopped carrying it. So at Borders, they had Gothic Beauty (talks about Day of the Dead, yay!) and this really cool dictionary of medicine. Don't you just love the cover? It was only 4.99 so I thought it'd be a good resource. (FYI: I'm playing a lil' word game with that book, and you can see what I'm doing on my A Black & Blue Sky blog, if you're interested.)

So it was a good day at the mall...was there MUCH longer than expected but that's o.k. because I rarely go to that mall. Spent most of my time in Victoria's Secret, and again I'll be posting that soon because that was my first time both getting help & purchasing something from there...that post will probably more girl related...sorry boys unless you care about bra straps & free underwear. Wait! Maybe you do care, ha ha.
Have a good Thursday everyone!!!

All You Can Fit In A Bag For $20

I headed out to the Sanrio Store, aka: Hello Kitty store for those who don't know what Sanrio is, yesterday for their sale "All you can fit in a bag for $20." Things weren't from everywhere in the store, just from one BIG closed in area on the ground. I got there about 2 hours after the sale began so lots was picked over but overall I did quite well. The 2 rules were: 1) Your bag couldn't be ripped & 2) Your bag had to be able to close (touch when they taped it up). That wasn't a problem for me. I got 62 items...so that's about 33 cents per item. Sweeeet!!!

They were really REALLY nice there & kept saying
"Are you sure you don't want to get more?" Or "You got a ways to go, are you sure you're done?" I said No I'm done...well, two times I got a lil' more. ;} I felt bad because if I took anymore there really would've been next to nothing left & I'm already contemplating what to do with some stuff- although I do have some friends to give stuff to luckily. All in all a great day, and I even got a blister on my toe to prove my dedication to "power shopping" there as well as at the mall that day. Ha ha...;}

So here's some of my findings. I got lots of Chi Chai Monchan stuff, including a cute coffee mug. He's really adorable. He's a "funky little monkey with a whirly-curly tail."

Some random stuff...like notepads, stickers, charms, confetti, etc...Not pictured but I got many Chococat nail decorations. Very cute.
Honestly there wasn't too much Hello Kitty stuff, which I found interesting. I got a few things they had of her though including: a magnet, water bottle, keychain, journal, and the best finding of hers-a small jewelry box.

They had TONS of stickers, & I LOVE stickers, so I got plenty of 'em. ;}

One of my best finds. It's a Chococat Mirror. I like how there's little compartments below the mirror. It's now on my dresser.

My other GREAT find. It's a Chococat Rice Paper Lamp. The light's not very bright, which I like and is now near my bed.

I felt like a kid in a candy store stuffing my bag with all this stuff...it was lots of fun. I hope they have something like this in the future cuz I'll definitely be there...and earlier too! OMG, if I was there when it began I couldn't imagine what I would've found. But that's fine, I'm more than happy with my great finds! ^_^

Oh & this was definitely my score of the week...and probably month...or maybe even year...seriously. I saved BIG time! :)
