Hanging out with Jenny, Pure Trance, and Fortune Pork Toys

You will soon learn about FORTUNE PORK...
it's something really cool & cute.
Made by KidRobot, as usual...
and the toys were cute as was the packagaing.

Sooo...here's a lil' about when I took Jenny for the 1st time...
to LIFT art gallery/toy store.
We also ate and walked around...
picks of my COOL finding will come soon.

But in the meantime, here's some pics...
from our little journey to Royal Oak...
We ate at Noodles & Company which is really good.
I got the Pesto Cavatappi...
Jenny got something Asian I think...and spicy.
Very good food. I would definitely go back.
She was 20...I was lucky number 13, yay!!!
Cuz they bring the food to your table-
how cool & nice!

Mine is the green one...looks a lil' odd but was very good!

So, after we ate, we opened my two blindboxed toys.
I got another Pure Trance toy (my last I swear!)...
and now I have four...all different, very cool!

And I got the COOL girl figure...
that I REALLY REALLY wanted...
the most...
above all the other Pure Trance toys.
Jenny is beginning to become my good luck charm...
because...
I let her open my boxes...
since she didn't get anything at LIFT.
Was VERY fun watching her....
and I didn't mind...
cuz Lord knows that...
I have opened quite a lof of blind boxed toys! ;}

Here's me holding my Fortune Pork (Series 2) blind box.
Wonder what's inside?
These are 3 inch Mini Plush Toys.

Part 1: taking the foil wrapper out of the box.
(Technically this is part two...
Jenny opened it with a knife from the bottom...
IDK how I skipped over loading it...)
Darn!!!

And I got...
A purple lil' pup called Ruffty...ruff ruff!!!
I think he's very cute!

Each toy/character has small lil' story.
Which I love.
Jenny is telling me about Ruffty...
and he sounds just like Bibi.
A very loving doggie...awww.

Curious about this pic below???
Can you guess what I'm holding???
Can you guess WHERE I bought it from?...
HINT: came from Royal Oak.
From the ___ store.

Hmm...???....

Oh and don't I look so seductive with my lollipop!??
ha ha...
Guess you're gonna have to wait and see.
Take care~

Pure Trance by Junko Mizuno (and please visit this blog)

Umeko & Takeko -- Junko Mizuno's Pure Trance blind-box (3/20)
"Umeko & Takeko are artificial nurses created by the Director. Takeko has a calm personality whereas Umeko is a bit of a baby. They both have superior abilities in operations and their nurses' caps are not removable as they are part of their bodies."
(And YES, this particular toy(s) above...
is a 2 pack set! Sweet!!!)

Yuki & Miki -- Junko Mizuno's Pure Trance blind-box (2/20)
"When twin sisters Yuki & Miki combine their mysterious superpowers they can practice magic. If you feed the skull fresh food, their powers become even stronger."

Hello everyone. I been meaning to write a post about my newest mini figures called Pure Trance by Junko Mizuno, but something cool happened and now I'm not going to write about it (but I'm still going to direct you to a post on them). You see, a really artistic & cool lady named Emily @ Follow the White Rabbit just did a post yesterday about it...& it was really great with awesome pics among it being very well-written also. So I knew I couldn't beat that & so I asked if I could link peeps over to her page & she said that THAT was cool. (I'd like to ask people-if I can-out of courtesy.)

So please click
HERE for her great blog post. Oh & make sure to say EVE sent ya. ;} And btw: I got the twins pictured above holding the sweet skull. But I still want more of these toys-like the nurses, they rule! I got 2 so far-I got the twin girls and a boy who smells like garbage, well not literally but that's his story. Yes, it's true-my Dunny addiction has taken a backseat as soon as I heard that these bad boys were coming out! Must...get...more...will...do...anything...for...more!!! ;}

Enjoy her post and thanks again Emily for writing such a good post & for letting me link up!~

Pure Trance by Junko Mizuno

I want one (or two) of these new toys called PURE TRANCE by Junko Mizuno. I'm going to see if LIFT toystore (in Royal Oak, MI) has 'em in stock today. If so, I'm definitely heading out that way...and um, to get Mike a b-day gift (his b-day is next month) before it's gone. Wish me luck & enjoy your Wednesday. I gotta work later, bla. Take care.

Oh and to read/see some more about these awesome art toys please click
HERE. Oh & they are blind boxed....so wish me even more luck. I love the 2 girl toys pictued above. They have monsters & animals too...but I like the sweet-looking girls the best. Adios.~

Munny Decorating Party @ LIFT

So LIFT (cool toystore & art gallery) in Royal Oak was having a Mini Munny Mobile decorating party FREE of charge. When I say FREE I mean it didn't cost anything to go to the event or anything for the Mini Munny Mobile art toy. Sweet!!! So I didn't know how BIG the Mini Munny Mobile would be and darn, it was actually pretty big (pic you'll soon see).

Unfortunately when I got there (about an hour after it started) the Munny Mobiles were all gone but luckily I still got something (for FREE) to decorate. Here's some of the pics I took from today's event at LIFT.

It was pretty packed. Lots of little kids-darn them for taking all the Mobiles! Actually all kinds of peeps were there from youngsters to adults. I had to wait about a half hour to get a seat so I could decorate what I got.

Oh, what a Munny is, right? Well, it's an art toy & similar to a Dunny (my Dunnys I posted before)...but a Munny is shaped more like a person. And it's blank for you to decorate. You can decorate it however you like. It comes with a marker but people were mostly using paint for the mobiles since they were pretty BIG.

That's the table I sat at-wayyyy in the back but that was fine, I sat with a nice couple. The lady in the pink shirt was an art teacher. She helped everyone get what they needed-paint, markers, glue, fabric, or whatever else they needed to make their Mini Munny Mobile (or other item they were decorating) VERY cool. She was really nice & helpful!

This is the Mini Munny Mobile (came with a Munny too). It's pretty big and in a way I'm kinda glad I wasn't able to get it because...I would've been there for a while decorating it I'm sure. Still, would be cool for my Munny to have some transportation....;}

Sooo...this is what I got. A PINK Munny to work with...since they ran out of the Mobiles. Thought that was really cool of 'em to do. (See my Tim Horton's coffee? ^_^) The piece of paper in front is what you can use to sketch before you get to work on the surface. And I did a little sketching but not too TOO much before using the markers. I don't typically sketch for anything I make.

So I was trying to make a Munny anarchy symbol, you know just put a M in a circle-but in a cool style. A guy who was an artist even helped me on my sketch paper but I f-ed it up. Luckily, I did it on the back so it didn't make my Munny look too weird.
Mike said it looked like I put both an Anarchy symbol and a M combined. I didn't notice that while I was making it. Hm, actually that's kinda cool but I don't think most peeps would see that.

So after I thought the M anarchy symbol bombed, I decided to look for some fabric. And yay, I found this Monopoly money fabric...& then it hit me *lightbulb over Eve's head*
-I'll try to make a Money Munny.

So that's what I did. I would've put a M on the front but I wanted it to show it was about MONEY. I originally had a cellphone as my 'mystery toy,' but I switched with the cool lady in front of me for the bat. That worked better with my Munny & vice versa.

The only color marker I used was black, and a lil' red just for the mouth. I have $ symbols on my Munny and cents symbols on it too. And I glued pieces of the Monopoly money fabric around his head...and tied some around his hands too.

I think he came out good in the end. They even took a picture of mine, and it'll be on their MySpace soon. I'm sure I'll put that here once they post pics. The art teacher liked mine & was glad I used the Monopoly fabric.
Aren't I clever-Munny or Money?!? ;}

Overall, I had a really fun time and for FREE, you can't beat it!
^_^

*LIFT has an art show coming up and I'm gonna try my best to attend it. It's called Multiple Personalities. Sounds like some more fun! I'm really digging this store. But after Thursday (when Tara McPherson's toys come out), I don't think I'll be going out there as much. It's a good thing it's not right around the street! Cuz as many of you know I HEART toys!!! Hope you all will have a nice week.~

What I got from LIFT yesterday

So were you curious to know what I got?
This was not the first thing I saw but I knew I wanted a TokiDoki item so I got him, Skeletrino. He's a skeleton cat...they didn't have his owner, a skeleton named Adios. But he's just as cool!

There's Adios & Skeletrino on one side of the very cool designed box.

Now THIS was the first thing that caught my eye when I walked in the door.

It's PATCH. A 14" Inch (yes, that tall!) vinyl toy made by one of my favorite artists, Camille Rose Garcia.
These are hard to come by now (been out for quite a while). So there was no question that I'd be leaving the store without her!

Again she's tall but that's sweet. (I'm used to Dunnys, which are only 3" inches tall!) I'm comparing her to a 20 ounce water bottle which she towers above. She was a little pricey but again, I know I'll never find one of these again. Unless I pay a million bucks for it on E-bay or something!

*Note: I guess Camille is no longer doing vinyl toys because of her feelings/views of the environment. Kinda sad but I can understand her reasoning a bit too.

Another CR Garcia doll was there too from this series named LULU. She was really cool also...she was a redhead with a darker red outfit. I was debating for a few minutes. But I found myself more drawn to PATCH.

LIFT Toy Store & Art Gallery

This is the toy store I went to yesterday. It's called LIFT and it's in Royal Oak. And oh yeah, they had my kinda toys! Was trying to keep focused on one thing before my eyes were distracted by the next cool thing. Kinda hard! The first thing that caught my eye, I purchased actually. That tends to happen to me often.

But today's post is about going there. Tomorrow, I'll post what I got. Sorry, but it was such a cool store & experience that I HAVE to do two posts! ^_^ I didn't take the picture above, took it from their site but all the pics below I took with my camera phone.

Lots of Gloomy plushies and I wanted that Silver one but he's kinda pricey. They also had an Orange Gloomy with a black skeleton outfit on. That I might just have to get eventually.

LIFT is also an art gallery. And here's one of the sweet pieces...

And another sweet skull one...

And one that is so odd & unique that it's just plain cool!

To come tomorrow: the two items I purchased. The MAIN one being something I always wanted, thought was not being sold anymore, and ended up being there. I felt so lucky! This is definitely my new place for toys...no more ordering online (darn shipping prices & waiting days to get my stuff!). And I really love to support shops like this if I can...because they're hard to come by in the area I live in. Check out their site HERE. I don't know why it still says liftfootwear.com....guess they used to sell shoes but there's none in the store now. Just lots & lots of cool toys, art, books, etc... Til tomorrow.~

Eve's Red Bag

Hey there, can you guess what's in my red bag? Maybe something new I found...maybe something I saw and wanted more of...maybe a lump of coal???!!!??? Hm....

What was your guess?
Yay, it's a few more To-Fu toys.

I had to get 'em because the store that carries 'em will be closing soon. And I've never seen 'em anywhere else so they joined my household. The top one is called "Fake"...maybe because his face & body look badly drawn on (probably what it look like if I attempted to make one!). Then below him (to the left) is "Poison"...why he has an eye patch, I don't know. But he has the skull & crossbones on his shirt. And lastly (to the right) is "Devil." He just rules...as do all of 'em. There were several more but these are the ones I REALLY wanted.

They taped 'em this was to the box to sell, to show what they looked like. But now they are all out of their plastic and are observers of some of my Dunnys on top of my TV stand in the bedroom.

Next series lineup was shown on a piece of paper in the boxes & ooo, one is "Halloween"-he has a pumpkin face. I think I'd like to get him if I could find him in the stores.

Play To-Fu Toys

I got a couple cute Play To-Fu toys from a local Asian store. They are blind boxed toys but all of 'em were open (still with plastic on 'em though) for some reason but that's o.k. because I did have a preference. There's a total of 14 different To-Fu toys for this 1st series and 2 are "secret." So from this series I chose to get Bubblegum To-Fu (left) and Evirob To-Fu (right). There was also a Devil To-Fu one but I chose the orange & black one because I thought it was cooler (plus I love halloween colors!). Unfortunately this store is closing down but maybe they'll still have 'em before they close at the end of the month (there weren't a whole lot). Because I'm pretty sure these were marked down so I'm contemplating if I'd like to get a couple more before I'd probably have to get 'em online, for more $$$ I'm sure. >_<

Nathan Jurevicius

When I went to Urban Outfitters this weekend for some Dunnys (that post is coming soon), I saw this cool package by the registers. And I love owls so I thought if they looked anything like on the package then it'd be a cool lil' toy.

Well, I guess I was expecting it to be a little more colorful or maybe with more designs (similar to Dunnys), but I was glad to get this Silver Owl regardless. He winds up and walks funny. Oh & silver is one of my fave colors too. ^_^

These owls that also wind up aren't from the series I got. And I couldn't find a pic of that series online either. But I found out that they are all different-color & design wise...it's just that each one is only one color. Still, they're cute but I don't think I'd buy anymore.

*I just wandered online and saw that the designer, an Australian guy named
Nathan Jurevicius, makes other cool toys as well as other artistic things. If you'd like to see a lil' article on him regarding a past art show, please click HERE. I like his artwork and some of his other toys more than the owls.

Eve's Red Bag

my lil' bag. what is in it this week? are you curious?!? now look below...
it's another HK stacking drawer. one of my other ones is working funky. it gets stuck when you try opening it. think i'm gonna take it back cuz they have the same one there still. hope they'll let me swap without a receipt! =]
also in the bag...well first you should know that i collect dunnys. & some of you may already know that. and this is a knock-off of them, i'm sure, but i still find 'em kinda cool. these are called MONSKEY's. images are also on the back of some (ex. this ones eye is open on back). this one caught my EYE first...
...& this was the last one (of its design) so i had to snatch it up. BUT, i was torn between this KISS one & a RECYCLE one...but the KISS one stole my heart in the end...aww...;)

it's another edition (well, it's been a while-sorry!) of Eve's Red Bag. and from what you'll see my bag ain't BLACK no more. :( the store i went to today normally has 'em but they may have switched to red, and that's fine. i like red too! :) (maybe i'll find my black bag one day...lost in the clutter somewhere...).
hope you like my unique findings today!~

Living Dead Dolls: Urban Legends

above: new LDD series 17-Urban Legends

above: LDD two-pack of nurse & doctor

i'm a BIG collector as some of you know. and i'm also a collector of Living Dead Dolls. first type of thing i was HARDCORE into getting almost everything they put out. they are now on Series 17 & again, i have almost every series-which would be 5 dolls per series (i usually buy 'em by the box-set of 5 dolls...& it's cheaper in the long run). 2 series come out a year & then there's also exclusives (like the nurse & doctor pack above) which have one or 2 dolls in 'em, that come out over the year. so honestly i don't know how many i own because most are in storage. i have recent series/exclusives on display though.

but i'm mainly posting this because Series 17 doesn't impress me much. i'm wondering if it's a concept idea for each one because they don't look very polished at all. if not concepts, i think they all look pretty crappy and would probably not get any of 'em if this is what they're gonna look like. for example: if you see the 2-pack above, you can see how much nicer it looks. so again, i have to say Series 17: Urban Legends looks like concept dolls. hm, i'm curious...as always...~

Check out LDD Series 17 description HERE.

New Dunny Series: Ye Olde English

mike told me his cousin said the pics/news for the new Dunny series was up now. so i checked today and the series will be ALL English designers, with the name of the series being called Ye Olde English. they look pretty sweet from what i've seen & now i'm super excited! ugh though cuz they come out very soon-January 22nd-and $$$ has been tight. and i wanted to get something else (HK related) around that time so of course their release date is not very good for me.:(

i know they'll be around for several months before the next series comes out, but STILL i can't help to get so excited with each new series. & wanting to get some ASAP.;} (*very impatient eve!*) i'm sure some of yous know the feeling when you look forward to something you collect. so i gotta think about what i want to do now...hm...oh if only $$$ grew off trees?!?...ha. that would be the life...am i right?!? :}
