Day after Halloween at Target (50% Off!!!)

  • Hi there. So as many of you know I LOVED LOVED LOVED what Target had this year for Halloween...that primarily being the Skelanimals stuff. Well, I wasn't sure if I'd get up early that day to go but something was calling me to go so I went & it was like Xmas Day-so much fun & excitement. I also decided while there that next year I'm going to try putting together a Halloween Party (my first)...so many of the things I got are in preparation for the maybe-party.

  • So as you can see from the above pic, I saved almost 55 dollars, and spent basically the same amount. Not bad I think...considering what I got. I want to go back for 75% off...cuz there were a few things over 10 dollars that I just couldn't buy because I would've spent wayyyyy too much. So I guess I'll see if they have anything cool left at that time. Enjoy my lots-of-savings pics!~

4 bags...

The party supplies...

Lots of candy...and the mug with Oliver the Owl, my fave of the Skelanimals. Awww for Owls!

Random stuff including: magnets, photo holders, plushie, toys, stickers, slippers, and more!

More random stuff including: 2 pack of hand towels, straws, cake pan, and one of my best finds-the Skelanimal throw blanket. Yay!!!

Close up of the Skeleton cake pan.

And me with my blanket and slippers on. Was fun and I hope Target has cool stuff yet again nexd Halloween. And I think they will cuz you all know that Target rules! Take care and enjoy your day.

Just ADD Gloss!

Yup, gloss makes everything...better...and shinier! Woooo. There's Sludge Duck above. I also added some purple drips to his black pond. So I added a gloss sealer and I like him much better this way. Both Sludge Duck and his pond have the gloss. I think you can tell a bit better in the pics below.

Sadly the hard canvas warped when idiot me poured almost half a (BIG!) bottle of paint on the canvas (making SD a lil' while back). I was thinking "Oh it'll dry...it'll just take some time." Wrong! It probably would've never dried if I left it the way it was. Oh well, live and learn...that's all you can do sometimes. ;)

And below is my freshly made Skeleton Mask. Gloss sealer also added to him...or her. I am quite addicted to gloss at this point. I use it on almost every thing I paint. The only thing I haven't used it on recently was the actual toy ponies in my other 'art project' called Pony War. I put it up on my FaceBook page...not here, sorry! ...just cuz it's easier sometimes. OK, enjoy my glittery shiny mask. He is officially done...or she, whoops!

All pictures taken without a flash...so it's pretty accurate with its colors and all.

I don't think I could wear it. It even scares me when I put it on! I hope you enjoy your week friends. Oh and have you been to the stores to see all the Halloween merch out now? I can stay at places like Target forever just browsing around...each year they get better while places like Walmart get worse. But that's ok, TARGET is my 2nd home...lol. Take care~

My Skeleton Mask

Made this Skeleton mask last night. I mean painted it...didn't make the actual mask. I'm not sure if I'm finished with it or not yet. I'm thinking maybe... The pic above is with no flash. And the picture below is with the flash. Think I want to buy one or two more masks...they're from Michaels. There's not string on the back to wear it though. Doesn't actually fit well on my face...so, not sure if it's supposed to be a wearable mask or just for decoration around the house. Hm....

Kinda creepy...ya think? And the bottom one is creepier cuz you can see my eyes....ooooo. I'm sure I'll be making more Halloween art over the next month or so. (Did I mention Halloween is my favorite holiday? So excited going to all the stores this time of year!)
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday, friends.~

Random Cellphone Pics: Part 3 of Lots o' Random Stuff

I HEART this lil' creature SO much from Nightmare.
@ my new fave store...LIFT in Royal Oak.
I have a small plushie of him...as well as several lil' figures....
from over the years.

After I uploaded this picture I noticed it's PHOTO number on my cellphone.
Any guesses to what it is?
Yeah it's PHOTO 0666.
Nice, hm....
I thought so. ;}

Street art found in Royal Oak.

Awww, this lil' guy is up on display at Michaels. I want him...:(
Can someone please make me one?
I not very good with fabrics...and yarn...
and that kinda stuff.
Would love to be...but woe is me. :)

I've been putting off getting these KEYS because of their price.
I'm sure they are worth it but DARN, 9.99 is a lot for ONE item at the craft store for me. (Well, when you get a lot of lil' things- like glue, paper, paint, etc-at once, like I've been doing lately, 9.99 seems like A TON!)
But again, they are really nice looking!....

So I will prob get 'em with a coupon &...
this week I have 2 (from Michaels)...
and they are for 50% off a regular priced item.
So I'll be cool paying the 4.99!

You can make your very own skelly or squelette.
Is that the French word for it? I like it!

And he was on display too.
I would want mine painted though. :)

It's the....
I-Juke.
Found at Target.
Not a bad price...
99.99.

My dad has an old old jukebox in his garage...
and I've always wanted it for here.
But it's gonna be a b*tch getting it into our basement.
Those things were not made out of light stuff!
He's threatening to throw it out....
NOOOO!

CVS Pharmacy, are you hiring JUST anyone?
Cuz I think that's a fake name...
hmmm....
No, I just think it's freakin' hilarious.

Me: "Hi, can I talk to the pharmacist?"
Employee: "Sure, let me go get SHINY for you."
"Who/What!?!"
"Well, Shiny George of course!....
He's the best pharmacist around!"
Oh, and there's an ANNS too, not ANN, ANNS...wha''''?!?

Oooo, pretty bottles.

This sounds like a drink you don't want to touch.
Unless Lolita means something else in Mexico. Hmmm....curious.

Packaging oh packaging,
...how you are so artsy sometimes!??
I wouldn't drink you...I'll just look. ;}

The names they come up with.
I'd rather have a XXX rated please!

YES, there is still more to come. OMG, are you sick of these yet!??!
I was on a roll for a couple weeks.
But I gotta ease it up or I'm gonna take up ALL my pic space & I got 3 blogs so sadly these kinda posts won't last forever....:(...I guess unless I start a whole other blog just dedicated to my pics. Wait! OH NO, I wouldn't do that!!! That would be BLOG #4. And then I would never sleep...eat...or....SHOP! Don't worry, it's not gonna happen.
Adios for now my friends.~

Memorial Day Sales, Oh My!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.
And with that comes...
SALES!!!
And you know me, I LOVE a good sale or 2.
You might say "Eve oh Eve, you do love to spend $$$,
but...
this picture is proof to how cheap I really am.
I was at Target & just wanted a pic of me...
wearing the 'America/Uncle Sam' hat.

I didn't want to pay the $1 for it.
Yeah, I'm cheaper than you think.
Wait, that didn't sound right...;}
Anyways...here's my sales adventures.

This is a pic of MY Hot Topic, wooo hoo cuz...
Hot Topic had their half off the half off sale this weekend...
& I always hit it up then
.
Some things I couldn't pass up include:

An Alice shirt...and you know...
there's no question about whether or not to get it!

Purrrrple, is one of my colors.
And so is black...
And I love the skeleton image...
so Voila, I got this shirt.
It's a bit low cut for me...
so I'll be tank topping it under.

One of the best deals EVER.
Skelly animals totes for 4.99!!!
Isn't that sweet?
And I LOVE the bat skelly animal.
I know it's Skeleanimal, right?...
just like callin' em that.

The only thing at Hot Topic that I paid full price for.
A very creepy & cool Day of the Dead patch.
Now where to put it...
probably on a tote bag.

And BORDERS bookstore...
was extremely awesome for the holiday weekend too.
They had great sales on their clearance books...
aka: bargain books.

And they were buy one get one free...
and they were ALREADY very inexpensive.
I paid a total of $10.60 for all the books/CD's below.

I mean look at the cover...
it was a must-have.
Yeah yeah yeah,
don't judge a book by its cover but...
c'mon, Frankenstein & Cake...
how can you go wrong?!?
^_^

I got French Milk because it's a girl & her mother's 6 week travels to France. It looks really interesting because it's documented ALL in photos the girl took (she wrote/documented the experience)...and cool illustrations of things they did. Why is it called French Milk? The girl, Lucy, fell in love with France's milk while she visited there. I guess it's pretty yummy.

Kittenwar Postcards are cute...and are mainly for my cat-loving-friends (and YOU know who you are). Be expecting some from me in the mail or in person soon.

Carrie (in the right corner) is of course the Stephen King book...
but on CD's (7 of 'em, unabridged).
Yikes, I can't imagine how many hours that is but I'm sure it'll be awesome.
And to top it off it's read by Sissy Spacek.
How cool is that?
I read Carrie but a long time ago...
and I remember it being quite good.
So when I saw this book on CD's I thought hmmm....

Let me break it down cuz I think it's pretty sweet.
It normal retail price was 39.99...
& it was on sale for 5.99...
but since they were BOGO free...
it was only 3.00 + tax.
Major SCORE!!!
AKA: Score of the week...or maybe the whole month!
I hope it don't scare me too much though.
I can be a scaredy cat sometimes.

SOOO, all in all a great sales weekend.
And it isn't over...but I'm not going back out...
Well, a BIG maybe on Michaels (craft store) on Monday.

Some people often say...
I have some type of 'skill' with my shopping...
or that I'm a shopaholic (cough cough, Diane)...;}
But I don't see it either way.
I don't scope out stores for days & days....
waiting to see what'll get marked down.
Or planning/calculating things...that'd be a lot of work!
And I don't spend my entire day in the mall...
or at TARGET (my fave store as you know).
And ugh, you already know how I feel about shopping for...
dressy clothes/shirts other than t-shirts/pants/shoes shopping and grocery shopping,

but if not, I'll refresh your memory...
I hate it!

I mean a girl's got to eat, sleep, & blog...
at some time!

^_^

I just keep my eye out for certain sales...
from time to time...
especially the clearance sales.
Those are the BEST.
And I get some good selection sometimes...
and sometimes I don't.
Typically my local Hot Topic is kinda sucky...
for their 1/2 off sales, but I really lucked out this time around.
And BORDERS was kinda luck too.
I hadn't been there in a while...
and low & behold I found this great sale,
that actually had some good stuff.

So this was my BIG clearance splurge of the month.
And everything will be put to good use,
and that's all that matters, right?!!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.
I'm off to Meijer in a sec for...
BIG SALES!
Just kidding...
I gotta grocery shop.
It shouldn't be busy cuz it's late.

I prefer going later...

not a lot of long lines & usually not a million peeps down the aisles.
I'm quite the power shopper at the grocery store cuz I just wanna get the heck out of there asap. Unless I get sidetracked by something curious.
And yes you are right Diane, Meijer does have a BIG ol' selection of wines/beer/etc....
but Meijer is SO huge so no wonder, right??!

OK, adios for now amigos!~

Skeleton Dunny

i have been collecting the sweet art toys known as Dunny for several months now. they are usually blind boxed so you never know what you are getting. which is kinda fun...unless you REALLY want a certain one or two. then it kinda sucks cuz you may get a bunch of duplicates before getting it, if you are lucky enough to get it. i have a good amount from series 4, french, and most recently 5 (and they are approx. 3 inches tall). they do have 8 inch ones on occasion and those ones are not blind boxed but go for a little to a lot more. 3 inch dunnys-yes they spell it like that!-are around 7 bucks each. not bad for some sweet art if you ask me.

recently, i really wanted an 8 inch dunny designed by Huck Gee but it was pretty impossible to get. as is this one i'm posting pics of now. it was designed by Ron English, it's an 8 incher, and was available at the Kid Robot Miami store & kidrobot.com ONLY. basically means, you probably have less than 1% chance of getting your hands on one. this was going for $50, the range is usually $30-$300, so not too bad.

unfortunately, i didn't even know anything about this one until i looked on kidrobot.com today. but the day the Huck one went on sale on kidrobot.com, it was gone in mere seconds. so it prob went the same way for this sweet one that also glows in the dark. yay for skeletons & glowing, but boo to it being so limited. oh well, couldn't afford it anyways...but a girl can dream, right?!?
