Day after Halloween at Target (50% Off!!!)

  • Hi there. So as many of you know I LOVED LOVED LOVED what Target had this year for Halloween...that primarily being the Skelanimals stuff. Well, I wasn't sure if I'd get up early that day to go but something was calling me to go so I went & it was like Xmas Day-so much fun & excitement. I also decided while there that next year I'm going to try putting together a Halloween Party (my first)...so many of the things I got are in preparation for the maybe-party.

  • So as you can see from the above pic, I saved almost 55 dollars, and spent basically the same amount. Not bad I think...considering what I got. I want to go back for 75% off...cuz there were a few things over 10 dollars that I just couldn't buy because I would've spent wayyyyy too much. So I guess I'll see if they have anything cool left at that time. Enjoy my lots-of-savings pics!~

4 bags...

The party supplies...

Lots of candy...and the mug with Oliver the Owl, my fave of the Skelanimals. Awww for Owls!

Random stuff including: magnets, photo holders, plushie, toys, stickers, slippers, and more!

More random stuff including: 2 pack of hand towels, straws, cake pan, and one of my best finds-the Skelanimal throw blanket. Yay!!!

Close up of the Skeleton cake pan.

And me with my blanket and slippers on. Was fun and I hope Target has cool stuff yet again nexd Halloween. And I think they will cuz you all know that Target rules! Take care and enjoy your day.

Target, You're Killing Me! (picture heavy)

I didn't get the Sunday paper this week. And I almost missed out on something. That something is Hello Kitty stuff at Target. That is really cool HK stuff at Target. My sister showed me the Target paper and what is pictured above. They are 'Urban Vinyl' toys in a 2-pack. I was super excited after she showed me and after I left my parents' house I drove to my local Target to see 'em and they had even more than expected. Since it's Kitty's 35th birthday this year, they had all kinds of toys, games, and (yessss) lots of cute dollar bin items. So this is my day at Target yesterday...

On sale for 5.99 a pack. Actually a pretty good deal considering I've bought Hello Kitty blind boxed toys for 10 dollars each. And yeah-blind boxed...so I didn't know what I was getting. This was much better because I could pick the 2-pack (or more) that I wanted...and not leave it up to chance.

All these cute fruity keychains. But very pricey...4.99 each. I bought one for Mike (orange/tangerine) because he loves ORANGE and he isn't afraid of Kitty like a lot of guys. He thinks she's kinda cute...awww, now that's my kinda guy!

Small plushies...of Panda and Sheep Kitty.

Really like that Kitty in a kimono.

Here's some of the 35th anniversary stuff. Really didn't care for it. I mean it's o.k....but I liked the Urban Vinyl better. (Small multi-colored Kitty's above)

Walked past the girls section (not adult girls)...and they had these sweet HK Halloween shirts. Why can't they make 'em in adult sizes? I know a lot of people would buy 'em! I like the one above more than the one below...but heck, if they had my size, I'd take either!

Sooo, what did I buy? Well, believe it or not, I didn't go TOO crazy. But of course, was tempted to get more...but $$$ is still tight until our roomie starts giving us rent...so I got...

...some stickers, lotion, and Kitty as a painter (aww, but I had too!) small notepads and notebook....

...also a pen (they write nice, I've bought similar Kitty ones from Target in the past)...and some lip balm...(better look at the foil stickers)...these are all dollar items...found in the dollar bins...and also...

...and I got the 2-pack I wanted the most...which was Kitty as a rubber duck and all blue (water) and w/Soap on her...there's the orange keychain I got Mike too. Yup, that was it....not a lot...enough to feed my love for that darn kitty cat...for the time being...;)
And now for random other stuff at Target...

Pictures hanging up in the Target cafe...I had a pretzel after I Kitty-shopped (yes, those were the only things I bought)...and those pretzels are very good...

...I really heart these cute Cabbage Patch Kids...ones that literally are a cabbage...and ooo, you won't know if it's a boy or girl baby until you take off it's cabbage...hm, that sounds wrong, don't it!??!...

And last but not least...the comforter set I want to get...I love it...all my favorite colors...black, purple, and white...and I love the chandelier on it and the other designs....I hope it gets marked down a bit (kinda pricey for everything)...but if not, maybe Mike and I will have the money to get it in a month or so...very classy, hm???
This concludes my Target adventure of the week. Hope you enjoyed the pics. Take care!~

Target...and W's Random Finds

Hey all. Happy Friday to you! What a long week.
(BIG Sigh)
So glad the holiday weekend is here.
Just gotta go to work for a lil' while today...
and then no work til Tuesday, yay!
So I've been feeling very random lately.
Can ONE feel random, though?
Anyhow, can you see my randomness...
with my posts?
Sorry I guess I'm just likin' my random pics stuff...
for the time being.

Sooo, I went to the above recently...
yes Target, my home away from home.
And I found some of the stuff below.
Just 'window shopping'...

I want THIS!
Cuz I love Day of the Dead skulls.
But I'm cheap (& poor) :)...
and won't pay 16.99 for it...yet.

Those Kaboodles are still there.
The all black lace one is HUGE. Didn't see that one before.
I think it was around 25 bucks. And the purple was 16.99.
I like the purple one more.

Lookie, it's silver & gold piggy banks.
Aren't they cute? They are very shiny.
They were in the 'graduate gifts' area.
Cuz you gotta start saving once you get outta high school!!!
Save (atleast some) of your money from your parties, peeps.
Trust me, it'll help.

I love this picture.
I love all types of nature pics but especially trees...
and especially black & white.
It was marked down to $90-what!??
That's still pricey for me. But it is pretty big.

OK, don't hate me Wal-Mart haters! But I do go there every once in a while. And they have some good deals (of course) and some interesting findings at times. So it's OK to window shop here...you won't be supporting Wal-Mart.
It's more like you're supporting me & my randomness!
OK...

I don't remember there being any pinatas...
when I graduated from high school back in...1997.
I would've liked one...
filled with dollar bills, at my party.
That would've been fun!

Some unique findings of names/pictures of/on wines...
WITCHES BREW.

RAVENSWOOD...
probably my fave looking bottle.

GNARLY HEAD...
what in the world is a gnarly head?!!

Riesling...wine or beer...or the wine coolers perhaps.
Can't remember but they looked like wine coolers, anyways...
why is this little man on it?
He looks digitally/computer altered, ya think?
It's kinda creepy...unless...well...
no, it's creepy!

This is OBEY art. I'll be talking about it below in just a moment.
obey Pictures, Images and Photos

Prepare for a bit of a rant & rave.
While window shopping by the purses/bags. All these Ed Hardy-looking purses/bags were marked down CHEAP. I like some Ed Hardy...the skulls of course. But I think it's becoming a bit ridiculous because it just looks like tattoo work...imo. And I just ain't digging it too much. And I'd NEVER pay that much for a shirt or shoes with his work on it.

I've only crossed that line with art & shirts/bags/stickers with OBEY. I like his (Shepard Fairey's) work A LOT. So I will buy a shirt (which is a bit pricey) BUT only once in a while.
I think it's worth it.

So hm, I guess it just depends on what the individual will pay. And I (Miss Eve Noir) don't buy it for fashion...psst, fashion smashion! I actually really really REALLY love the artist & artwork. And want to support him so he can keep making sweet stuff.
Maybe one day I'll get a print,
that'd be cooler than a shirt any day of the week!
But in the meantime,
I'll be happy with my 3 OBEY shirts,
some buttons, and bunch of stickers.
^_^

So, hmm...curious why these knock-offs won't sell,
even for dirt cheap (2-3 dollars each)!??
Maybe Ed Hardy is losing his edge...
or do peeps just not wanna buy a knock off?
I mean it is from the W afterall. ;}

Sorry I don't have a pic of the Ed Hardy-looking stuff.
But if you go to W, you can see what I'm talking about.

A Lil' Bit of This & That...all from TARGET

I got some after-my-birthday-gifts & hey, I'll take 'em at anytime! ;} My friend got me this really sweet Hello Kitty clipboard. (She got it from Target but my Target don't sell this new HK merch yet, so I was very happy to get it!)

She also got me this cute BIG magnet. It's on my fridge. Thanks so much Vicky!!!

My older sister got me this awesome Hello Kitty wall clock for my birthday also. Ain't it cute? Yeah, I know where she got it from...t-a-r-g-e-t. :)

I found this cool folder when I went to Target to get some stuff the other day. It's made of this plastic (?) material...so it will last forever, seriously. I've had ones like these before & they rule.

Sorry that this isn't the best shot. But I found this in the clearance section of T-A-R-G-E-T, maybe they should spell it like that. Anyways it's a nice black shirt...it's see-through but that's o.k. cuz I plan to wear it over some of my tank tops this summer.

Dummy...Revisited

(Steven & Fannie in the Food Court)

This is one great film.
A bunch of great actors-Adrien Brody, Milla Jovovich, and Illena Douglas being the main ones. Also a very great & original (not to mention very funny) story-finding your true calling in life, as well as a sweet lil' love story along the way. This is one of those types of films I can watch over & over again. And is especially wonderful to watch when you're not feeling so well (like how I feel today).

This is definitely my favorite Adrien Brody film. Milla is also really hilarious as his best friend, Fannie. Again, probably my fave role Milla has played yet. Love it when she goes a lil' nuts in the parking lot & food court. OH, yeah where that food court is.... One of the BIG highlights in this film for me is that there are several scenes shot in my fave store, Target. One funny part is when the dummy gets dressed up in the store, ha ha. The makers of the film knew which store rules! ^_^ There needs to be more films like this-truly good original stories with an awesome cast.

Here's some good lines I "stole" from IMDB.com...

"D'you know our high school reunion's comin' up? Ten years... D'you know how depressing that is? D'you think I don't wanna slash my f#ck!ng wrists when I think about that? Goddamn it!"-Fannie

"Steven?"
[Enters Steven's room and sees him in his underwear, with his dummy dressed as a child]
"Gross! You look like a child molester!"-Heidi

[Family dinner, with Lorena and daughter as guests]
[to her mother, Fern] "What're you, apologizing to her? She's an unwed mother."-Heidi
"Better an unwed mother than just plain unwed."-Fern

Score of the Week: Converse Slip-Ons

My score of this week is courtesy of Target, my fave BIG store. I consider these to be my Ruby Slippers. Well, they're not Ruby...& don't say they're PINK! I think they're FUCHSIA. ^_^
They were originally priced 19.99 but I got 'em for the awesome marked-down price of 4.99. Score!!! But how could I pass that up? Yes, I never owned a pair of sparkly shoes but 1) they're so puurrty and 2) they're Converse...so they RULE. I just gotta wait til Spring to wear 'em now. And hopefully, that won't be too far away.~

Eve's Red Bag

Can you guess what's in my RED BAG this week? Well, it's all valentine's day stuff and all of it is also from my fave store TARGET. woo hoo!!!

first, really cool valentine's day cards. i opted for these instead of make-your-own Hello Kitty ones, can you believe it? i had to get these because i love old photos as well as black and white photography. there's two regular sized cards, of this image only, and unfortunately the other two images are mini cards. so that was kinda a bummer (cuz it was 4.99)...still, i like 'em lots. one of the cards has a pic of a lady on the phone & it says this: "that velvety voice, those dulcet tones. mary decided this was no ordinary telemarketer." then the inside says this: "Girl, you need to get out this Valentine's Day." funny...

next. yes, it's DOMO. and he's PINK just for valentine's day. a couple weeks back this same exact one was at Hot Topic for $14.99, and he was only $5.99 at Target-score! mike and i decided that we wanted to call this Domo (because we have the same exact one but his regular color-brown) DOMA instead. cuz it's the girl version of Domo, right?! aren't we silly?

and the last thing i got was some candy. i bought some for a friend at another store a while ago and YAY, i found them again. i'm glad cuz i really like the packaging. i got the all-american girl and social girl. i want to be the social girl (though i like american's hair better!). the back of her package says: "She's the social girl. She's a true socialite. Confident? Totally. Everybody's favorite. And just like Hershey's Kisses Brand Milk Chocolates, she's the center of attention and you just can't get enough of her!"

90% Off At Target, Yay!

good thursday friends. yesterday i found a major SCORE @ Target. these xmas stockings were marked down to 90% off 12.99, so i got each for 1.29, woo hoo. E=me, i am Eve of course. and P=Pumpkin, the name my boyfriend likes to go by. not just a cute lil' name i say...just cuz he likes it in general. plus in our band, he's Pumpkin Pig and i'm Eve Havoc. great deal, huh?! yeah, i found it even more interesting that there were only 3 left & an E and a P were 2 of 'em. funny. :)
