JoAnn Fabrics items, time to make stuff!

Yesterday I drove a lil' distance to get some new Hello Kitty merch at Target. I thought (and heard) it was dollar items...you know in their $1 bins. Lots of peeps I knew from "real life" to online friends said the stuff was out BUT I called almost every Target in my area & they all said "No" until I called one particular store. They were very nice (some of the others were not so nice) and he said there was "some"-he made sure to say there's not a lot, and I thought that was nice. But even with "some" I decided to venture out that way...which again was a lil' distance but I wanted to see what else there was (my friend got me a clipboard & magnet & they were so cute so I was curious of course!).

So I get there & the dollar section looks pretty empty but FINALLY I find the HK stuff and kinda sucky thing-it went up in price-$2.50 per item instead of $1. But it was a lil' nicer quality I must say. Unfortunately, there wasn't that much (the guy was right) so I didn't spend a lot. I bought a tote bag...there were either a pink or blue one, and blue (this particular blue I really love) is my favorite color (yes, I love black & wear a lot of it, but blue is my true love), so blue it was. Then I got a cute lil' journal as well as some sticky notes. The sticky notes were prob not worth 2.50, they are very tiny but I thought "Why not? Who knows if this stuff will be around my area?" They also had a toy cellphone that was also a calculator-no thanks...and a sticker sheet. That was really cute (and they were BIG stickers)...they were puffy stickers but again for 2.50, I didn't think it was worth it...sorry Kitty but I can't own everything you put out! ;}

Then almost right next door to that Target was a JoAnn Fabrics. I've never been in that one, it's layed out really weird so I had a hard time finding the "painting/canvas" area at first. Once I got there (and I mainly went cuz I had a 40% off coupon) I couldn't find anything that wasn't already on sale so I could use the coupon-this isn't a surprise cuz it seems to happen all the time! But their canvas was really cheap. Usually it's normally 40% off what the tag says but for some reason it was 50% off so I had to pick up a couple of 'em. Then when I got to the front to checkout they had $1 items where you wait in line. And since I love to use my glue gun on canvas I found some things to possibly put on 'em....I got a cool green dragonfly and a flat glittery flower & butterfly-yay those 2 will be easy to glue on.

Today I'm gonna try going to the JoAnn's by my house to use that darn coupon again. There's gotta be something I can use it on that's NOT already on sale. Maybe a new paint brush since those always are pricey...well, for the good ones. Take care everyone & happy Saturday.~
